lol what's up with all these Christmas shows?! can't they just have one good show for christmas or something? like, I'm not even into Dickens or Alcott, but everyone's gonna be talking about the "A Christmas Carol" and "Little Women" adaptations. Meanwhile, "The Pirates of Penzance" is basically a pirate party and I am HERE. FOR. IT
and don't even get me started on "This is the Week That Is". improv comedy at $55? are they trying to test my comedic sense or something? either way, I'm in!
I'm so stoked for the holiday season theater lineup in Philly ! There's something for everyone - musicals, plays, comedies... even a reimagined ballet and a heartwarming adaptation of Little Women . It's gonna be a great way to get into the festive spirit. And I love that there are some more intimate performances too, like "Sunset Baby" which sounds really poignant . Can't wait to see what's playing at each theater!
Philly's theater scene is like a big ol' warm hug for the holiday season . I'm so down for some "A Christmas Carol" vibes, love how Lantern Theater Co. and People's Light are bringing different takes on the classic tale . And can we talk about the musicals? "Little Women" at Hedgerow Theatre Co. is gonna give me all the feels . I'm also low-key hyped for that Pirates of Penzance production at Quintessence Theatre - Gilbert & Sullivan is always a winner .
