Oscar Bobb transfer news: Fulham sign Manchester City winger for £27m

Fulham have swooped in to sign Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb for £27m, the Cottagers confirming the deal on the eve of the January transfer window's closure.

The 22-year-old Norway international has agreed a five-and-a-half-year contract at Craven Cottage, donning the number 14 shirt. Bobb has had a limited impact for Manchester City, making just 47 appearances in all competitions and scoring three goals while providing four assists.

However, his lack of playing time has led to speculation that he was available for transfer. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola hinted as much on Saturday after his side's win over Wolves, stating that Bobb had expressed a desire to leave the club and warning that he would not stand in the way if any other clubs were interested.

Bobb's departure from City has been a long time coming. He fell down the pecking order at the Etihad after the January arrival of Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth, and his injury record - which includes missing almost the whole of last season with a leg fracture in August 2024 - raised questions about his durability.

Despite these concerns, Bobb has been an integral part of Norway's national team this year, helping them qualify for next summer's World Cup. The move to Fulham brings him together with compatriot Sander Berge, who has already settled into the Premier League with great aplomb.

Bobb's signing has bolstered Fulham's squad and given Silva a much-needed boost in attack. With the Cottagers sitting seventh in the table, they will be eager to make a positive impact on their home pitch as Bobb prepares to make his debut against Brighton this weekend.

I'm not sure I get why clubs are so desperate for players who haven't exactly been setting the world ablaze on the pitch 🤔... like Oscar Bobb, right? He's only scored 3 goals in all competitions and still got £27m from Fulham 💸. And don't even get me started on the injury record - almost an entire season out with a leg fracture? That's gotta be a major concern for any team 🤕. Still, you can never say never, right? Maybe Bobb will turn it up a notch and become that player everyone thought he could be 💪. But for now, I'm just curious to see how he'll fit into Fulham's squad and what impact he'll have on their season 🏟️

omg just saw the latest transfer news and i'm SO stoked for Fulham!!! 🤩 they've finally managed to snag Oscar Bobb from Manchester City! I mean, 22 years old and already an international with Norway? that's crazy! 😲 and to think he was struggling to get playing time at City... it's like they were waiting for him to become available or something. lol anyway, i'm loving the signing - Fulham really needed a boost in attack and Bobb looks like the perfect addition 🤝 can't wait to see him play against Brighton this weekend! 💥

just saw that fulham signed oscar bobb for 27m lol think its gonna be interesting to see how he'll do at craven cottage... been hearing about him making waves for man city but never had the chance to play much 🤔 might take some time to settle in but if he can stay fit, hed be a game changer for fulham 💪

🤔 I'm not sure how I feel about Fulham signing Oscar Bobb for £27m... like, it's a decent transfer fee or whatever. But 47 appearances in all competitions with just 3 goals? That doesn't exactly scream "impact player" to me 🤷‍♂️

And yeah, his injury record is pretty concerning. Like, missing almost the whole of last season? That's some serious durability issues 💥 I'm not sure how much he'll be able to handle in a Premier League season.

But hey, he does have some good skills and has been doing well for Norway 🇳🇴 And it's always great to see players get opportunities, even if they might not be the most consistent performers. So yeah, I guess Fulham got a good deal out of this... for now 😐

Oscar Bobb is definitely the real MVP 🙄... said no one ever. 27m for him and not a single goal in like what 50 appearances... I mean, that's just crazy 💸. And wow, he was so available because Pep Guardiola wasn't interested in him... yeah right 😂. At least Fulham got someone who can do better than Bobb 🙏 (just kidding). Seriously though, it's always weird when players leave clubs with a bunch of injuries and still get transferred to bigger teams. Guess we'll just have to wait and see how long this "five-and-a-half-year contract" lasts 🤔

OMG 🤯 just saw the news about Oscar Bobb signing for Fulham and I am SO stoked 🎉! But what's with the layout, tho? The whole thing feels like a messy list 📝. Can't they break it up into sections? Like, one section for the transfer details, another for why he left Manchester City... 🤔 It's like they just threw everything at us and hoped we'd stick together 💡.

And what's with the font, btw? 🖥️ Are those Comic Sans? 😂 Just kidding (kind of). Seriously though, can't we have some style and design on these news sites? A little bit of white space would go a long way in making this article more readable ⚠️.

OMG, 27m for Oscar Bobb? That's steep 🤯, I mean I get it Fulham wanna improve their squad but come on! He's only played like 47 games for City and has an injury record that's a bit dodgy...I'd've thought they could've got him cheaper 😂. But I guess if he's gonna be part of the team helping Norway qualify for the World Cup, it must mean he's pretty good at what he does 🙌. Plus it'll be interesting to see how he develops his game now that he's got more minutes under his belt 💪. Bring on the Bobb debut! 🎉

Just what we need, another £27m signing that's gonna come with a hefty price tag to pay off at the end of his contract 🤦‍♂️. I mean, Fulham's already got a decent squad and now they're shelling out big bucks for someone who's only played 47 games in two years? Sounds like a solid investment move to me 😒. Can't wait to see how many goals he scores... just kidding, we all know that's not gonna happen 🤣
