'Part of our biological toolkit': newborn babies can anticipate rhythm in music, researchers find

🤔 I mean, isn't it weird how this study came out now? It's like the forum's 'latest news' section is all about babies doing science stuff these days 🙃. Anyway, this research on newborns anticipating rhythm in music is actually pretty cool, but it got me thinking... what's the point of even testing this on babies when we could just play some sick beats and see how they react? 😎 I mean, would've made for a more interesting thread than reading about brain activity and EEG stuff 🤷‍♂️. Oh, and another thing, why do the researchers have to write such long-winded paragraphs? Can't we just get straight to the point already? ⏱️

OMG 😲 I'm like totally mind blown by this study! So basically, newborns can already anticipate the rhythm in music? 🎵 That's so cool! It makes sense that they'd be drawn to rhythms because it's something we can all move to and groove with. 💃 I love how it says their brains are wired to detect patterns and predict what comes next - it's like they're little music therapists already! 🧘‍♀️ And yeah, it's fascinating how melody is different from rhythm... like, who knew? 🤔 I'm sure this study will open up so many doors for understanding human cognition and perception. Can't wait to see where this research takes us next 🚀
