Pee-pee to the people? Mamdani rolls out plan to boost public bathroom access in NYC

I think it's awesome that Mayor Mamdani is tackling this issue 🤩. I mean, who wants to spend $9 on a coffee just to find a bathroom? 😂 It's crazy how something so essential can be lacking in our city. The modular bathrooms sound like a genius idea - it's a win-win for both the environment and the wallet 💸. I'm curious to see how the pilot program goes, but at least they're trying 🤞. What do you think about this plan? Should we have more public bathrooms in NYC? 🤔

I think its about time we got some decent public bathrooms in NYC, I mean, $9 for a coffee is a bit steep just to use the loo 🤯. They're planning to add like 20-30 new ones and that's a good start, but 1,000 isn't nearly enough considering how many people live here. It's not just about hygiene, it's also about dignity and accessibility, especially for ppl who can't make it out of their own homes.

I'm curious to see how this project plays out, I mean, $4 million is a decent chunk of change, but will it be enough? And what about the timeline, 100 days seems kinda tight. I hope they get it right, we don't need any more headaches from our city officials 😬. But overall, I think its a good step in the right direction and hopefully it'll lead to some real change for our public restrooms situation.

I'm low-key impressed by Mayor Mamdani's plan to boost public bathroom access in NYC 🤯. It's about time we tackle this issue, especially considering how many people are struggling with finding reliable facilities. I love that they're investing $4 million into it – it's a small price to pay for the dignity and comfort of all New Yorkers.

However, I'm a bit skeptical about the scalability of the project 🤔. With NYC having over 8.5 million residents, adding just 20-30 new public restrooms might seem like a drop in the bucket. We need a more comprehensive approach to address this issue, not just a pilot program.

That being said, I'm excited to see where this initiative takes us 💪. If it can help make NYC more livable and accessible for everyone, then it's a step in the right direction 🌆. Let's hope they can deliver on their promises and make this project a success! 👍

idk why they're making such a big deal about it, like we'll actually have 20 new bathrooms pop up out of thin air and just magically solve the problem 🙄. i mean, $4 million is cute, but it's still gonna be super hard to make this work without major funding issues down the line 💸. and what about maintenance costs? who's gonna pay for all those bathrooms? not us, that's for sure 😒. plus, 8,500 residents per bathroom just seems like a straight up fail 🚽.
