I just listened to this concert and I gotta say it was really good
. The piano concerto by Fazil Say was like, super intense
, but also kind of obvious at times, you know? But the way the conductor, Rouvali, guided the musicians was amazing
. And then there was Dvořák's symphony... it was like a breath of fresh air after all that urgency
. I loved how the conductor balanced different styles and made it sound so elegant
. And Santtu-Matias Rouvali is definitely someone to watch out for - he really brought out the best in the orchestra
. Overall, it was a great way to end the Philharmonia's 80th anniversary year... I'd totally go see them again
