Philip Glass withdraws world premiere of his Lincoln symphony from Kennedy Center

I'm totally bummed about this 🤕 Glass was literally one of the last people you'd expect to get all bent outta shape over politics. I mean, we're talking Kennedy Center here, supposed to be a bastion of artistic expression and whatnot. But now that Trump's influence is creeping in, it's like the entire vibe has changed 💔. I guess when you've got someone as powerful as Glass backing out of something so high-profile, it sends a pretty clear message about where the values are at these days 🙅‍♂️. It's not just about the politics though – it's about what this means for artists and creatives who rely on spaces like that to showcase their work 🎨. Can't help but wonder how many other talented folks will be priced out of participating due to the Trump administration's heavy hand 👊

I'm so sad about this 🤕... I mean, Philip Glass is like a legend, you know? He's always been all about pushing boundaries and experimenting with music. And now, because of some politics... it's just not right 😔. I remember when the Kennedy Center first opened back in '70, it was supposed to be this beacon of arts and culture for America. Now it's like they're trying to take away all that originality and creativity 🎨.

I'm not sure what Trump's deal is with trying to control everything, but this just shows how much he doesn't care about the arts 🤷‍♂️. I mean, can't we just get back to making music that means something? It feels like he's sucking all the life out of it 💀.

It's gonna be a big loss when Glass isn't there... his symphony was supposed to be this massive event 💥. Now it's just going to be another empty shell without him 😔. I hope they can find someone else to fill in, but I gotta say, my heart's not in it anymore 🎶
