I just saw this thread and I'm like "what's going on?!" 
The whole GPU thing is wild man... I mean, who would've thought that a simple RAM shortage could lead to such crazy price hikes?! 
I'm still searching for a deal on my own 1TB drive and it's been like forever! 
Anyway, gotta agree with the thread that consumers need to stay on top of these trends... it's not gonna get any easier
