I think the highlight of this festival was Seirian Griffiths' Interchange, it literally had me feeling all the feels ! The way the dancers navigated those emotions on stage was so powerful and cathartic . Qi Song's Archive/Flesh/Echoes was a wild ride tho , I loved how frenetic the energy was, even if it didn't quite reach that transcendental high of some of her other pieces. Isadora D'Héloïsa's Entrecuerpos was super innovative and I loved the contrast between flamenco and voguing styles - it felt both familiar and edgy . Overall tho, what really struck me was how these three pieces came together to explore that gray area of human experience so beautifully . Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already!
awww i love how this festival celebrates the beauty of dance as a way to explore the complexities of human life it's so inspiring to see artists like Seirian Griffiths, Qi Song, and Isadora D'Héloïsa pushing boundaries and creating work that's both deeply personal and universally relatable i can only imagine how emotional it must be to perform a piece like Interchange, where the dancers are literally navigating their past loves and unfinished business but at the same time, it's amazing to see them finding catharsis in movement and expression
