Sammy Lee: 'Going to Spain was the best thing that happened to me after joining Liverpool'

So I was reading about this old footballer Sammy Lee and it made me think - do you really have to be fluent in the language to make it big? Like, he barely spoke Spanish at first and look how far he got with it! 🤯 And what's crazy is that his friends from Osasuna helped him out a lot and it seems like all he needed was a good team around him. It's not just about being good at the game but also about who you're playing with... I'm not saying anyone needs to be as lucky as Sammy Lee, but maybe we can all learn from his story? 🤔

omg i feel like sammy lee is such an inspiration to me lol he went from feeling lost after leaving liverpool to finding a new sense of purpose with osasuna 🤩 the way he talks about how important it was for him to find people who were "like-minded" and had his back makes total sense to me, i've been in similar situations where i felt like i was losing myself. also i love how he credits his coaching style to osasuna's youth development program - that's so cool 😊

I'm not sure I fully agree with Sammy Lee saying that leaving Liverpool was the best thing that happened to him 🤔. I mean, he's had an amazing career and has achieved so much, but for someone who's been through what he has, it's hard to imagine walking away from a club you've dedicated 10 years of your life to 💔. That being said, his experiences at Osasuna did seem to have a positive impact on him, especially with the emphasis on youth development and teamwork 🏟️. And it's great that he's learned to channel any pressure or criticism into his work, focusing on helping others grow as players 🌱. But for me, I think he might be downplaying just how tough it must've been to leave Liverpool behind 👋.
