Sedona International Film Festival Unveils 32nd Annual Film Lineup (EXCLUSIVE)

Sedona International Film Festival Announces Star-Studded Lineup with a Focus on Documentary and Short Films

The Sedona International Film Festival, now in its 32nd year, is gearing up to bring a diverse selection of films to the stage. Among these, Oscar-nominated documentary "Nobody Against Putin" will be screened at the festival. Directed by David Borenstein and co-directed by Pavel Talankin, this film offers an intimate look into Russia's children amidst the ongoing war with Ukraine.

Alongside "Nobody Against Putin," other notable documentaries making their way to the Sedona International Film Festival include prestigious titles from Sundance, Venice, and DC:DOX. The festival lineup boasts 36 feature documentary films, 32 documentary shorts, 36 feature-length narrative films, and 42 animated and narrative shorts.

Film fans can expect an engaging experience throughout the nine-day festival, which includes special events, filmmaker conversations, workshops, and panels. To kick off the event on February 21st is "In Love With Marilyn," a cabaret-style concert show celebrating Marilyn Monroe's upcoming 100th birthday.

The Sedona International Film Festival has grown significantly since its inception in 1995 as a three-day exhibition of independent films. Today, it serves as the largest single annual film festival in the Sedona community, aiming to broaden understanding of human experiences, raise social consciousness, present thought-provoking content, and entertain audiences worldwide.

The full lineup for the Sedona International Film Festival is set to be revealed soon, featuring notable feature-length narrative films such as "Jimpa," starring Olivia Colman and John Lithgow, and Al Pacino's meta drama 'Billy Knight.' The festival will conclude on March 1st.

I'm kinda hyped about the Sedona International Film Festival this year 🀩, but at the same time, I gotta wonder how a film like "Nobody Against Putin" is gonna get made without being super censored 🀯. I mean, we're talking about Russia and Ukraine here... it's complicated. But I guess that's what makes documentaries so important - they bring us closer to real people's stories. 😊

I'm also curious about the lineup of feature-length narrative films... will we see anything new and exciting? "Jimpa" with Olivia Colman and John Lithgow is a decent draw, but I'm not sure if it'll be enough to keep me engaged throughout the whole film πŸ€”.

On the bright side, the festival's focus on documentaries and shorts could lead to some really interesting and thought-provoking content. And hey, who doesn't love a good cabaret-style concert show celebrating Marilyn Monroe's birthday? πŸŽ‰ But, let's be real, the festival has grown so much since its inception... I wonder if it'll still feel intimate and special in 9 days πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ.

Just saw that the Sedona International Film Fest is going to show a documentary about Russian kids during the Ukraine war πŸ€•πŸ’” Its crazy how film can be such a powerful tool for change, you know? Maybe this doc can help people understand what's really happening over there and put pressure on world leaders to do something about it. And the fact that they're featuring more documentary and short films is awesome, I'm all about exposing unfiltered reality πŸ“ΊπŸ‘€

Omg, can't wait for the Sedona International Film Festival in Feb πŸŽ₯! I'm so down for the docu-fest vibes πŸ’, especially "Nobody Against Putin" – seems so powerful & thought-provoking 🀯. And, of course, who doesn't love a good Marilyn Monroe tribute? 🌹 "In Love With Marilyn" sounds like an amazing way to kick off the fest! 😊 The lineup looks super diverse and exciting – I'm all about that cinematic goodness 🍿! March 1st can't come soon enough πŸ’«.

I'm not sure I'd want to go to a film fest where they're gonna make me feel all the feels about Putin's kids πŸ€”... Just kidding! But seriously, it sounds like the Sedona International Film Festival is gonna be super interesting this year. The fact that they're highlighting documentaries and short films really speaks to me - I love discovering new stories and perspectives.

And I'm intrigued by "In Love With Marilyn" – a cabaret-style concert show celebrating Marilyn Monroe's 100th birthday? That sounds like a blast! πŸŽ‰ But what I'd really want to know is, how did they choose the films for this year's festival? Is it just based on popularity or are there some serious curation going on behind the scenes? Maybe we'll find out soon 🀞

omg u gotta check out sedona international film fest!! πŸŽ₯ they got like the most iconic documentaries out there, including one about russia's kids in war zones 🀯 "nobody against putin" is gonna be lit. and it's not just docos, they got all kinds of films, from oscars to mainstream faves. but what i'm hyped about is the special events & panel talks - like, can u imagine olivia colman & john lithgow talkin' film together? 🀝 gotta go check this fest out in february!

πŸ€” I'm a bit curious about this Sedona International Film Festival... isn't it like, a big movie thingy? πŸŽ₯ And they're gonna show all these documentaries about Russia and stuff? 🌍 I mean, I wanna learn more about what's going on in the world, but sometimes docu-films can be kinda heavy. πŸ’” Can you imagine watching films about war and politics? 🀯 But at the same time, it might be interesting to see how people from different countries are affected by these issues... 🌎 Am I right in thinking that this festival is trying to bring people together through film? 🀝 It's like a big conversation starter, you know? πŸ’¬

πŸ€” I'm not convinced about the Oscars connection here... just a nod from David Borenstein and Pavel Talankin? No concrete proof that "Nobody Against Putin" was Oscar-nominated. Can we get some sources for this claim? πŸ“
