I'm still trying to wrap my head around this 27k ft footage of the deepest fish ever recorded ! Here are some wild stats:
* The snailfish is part of the same family as cod and haddock, but it's been on the planet for over 300 million years, making it one of the oldest living species on Earth
* We can expect to see a massive increase in extreme deep-sea exploration with private companies like Triton Submarines investing heavily in submersibles and research vessels
* And did you know that the pressure at 27k ft is over 480 times greater than at sea level? That's some intense crushing force
Can you even imagine being at that depth? Like 27k feet!?! My brain just cant wrap around how they got footage of this thing, its so deep nobody else has ever been able to reach it. I mean we can explore space and stuff but our own ocean is still a mystery, how cool is that?
I just watched that crazy video on CNN ! The footage of the snailfish at 27k feet is mind-blowing, you feel like it's from another world . I mean, can you even imagine swimming in those dark waters? It gives me the chills every time . And to think scientists were able to capture it on camera is just amazing . The pressure at that depth must be insane, but I guess that's what makes it so cool . I'm not even a marine biology nerd, but this video has got me hooked . Can't wait to see more vids like this from the deep sea!
omg 27k feet is wild lol who needs oxygen at that depth? like seriously how do they even make equipment for such crazy stuff? i mean im no marine biologist but it looks like this snailfish is basically a deep sea alien and i wanna know more about these creatures are they edible or something? btw does anyone else think this is the most fascinating thing ever seen on youtube recently?
I remember watching documentaries about deep-sea creatures when I was a kid . It was like something out of a sci-fi movie! Can you believe they actually captured footage of a fish living at 27,000 feet? That's just mind-blowing! The fact that it can swim with all those tanks on its back is insane . I mean, we're still trying to figure out how to protect our own planet's oceans and this guy's been down there for who knows how long? It's like he's living in his own little world . Anyway, I'm just happy they were able to get the footage - it's gonna make for some crazy documentaries!
