I mean, I get it, Slipknot wanted to protect their merch, but 24 years too late to start suing the domain owner? It's like they should've just claimed ownership themselves instead of waiting till someone else jumped into the ring . And now they're trying to come back from this? Not sure if it's worth the headache, you know? The website is still up and nothing's changed... it feels kinda pointless

Ugh man... I just can't even with this whole situation . Like, come on Slipknot! You're one of the most iconic bands out there and you can't even handle your own merchandise? I mean, 24 years is a long time to be owning a domain name without even realizing it's up for sale... that's some impressive passive income right there .

And now you're suing some small-time website owner who probably just wanted to make some extra cash off your band's name? It's like you're taking the whole "fans are crazy" thing to a whole new level . I get it, merch can be a big business and all that... but do you really need to take someone to court over it?

I'm actually kinda impressed by the domain owner's lawyer though - that guy is sharp . And honestly, if Slipknot wants to revive this lawsuit in the future, go for it! But for now, can we just let it drop? The website's still active and all... but I mean, what even is there on it besides a copyright notice from 2025?

omg, i'm kinda surprised that slipknot dropped their lawsuit... i mean, they were really salty about someone selling merch without permission . but now it seems like the domain owner was kinda in the clear too? like, 24 years of owning the domain and no idea what's going on . i guess this means we might see some slipknot merch appear on that website again in the future... or maybe not? idk, but at least fans can breathe a sigh of relief .

I gotta say, this whole thing is kinda wild. Like, who knew that website owners could just sit on domains for 24 years without anyone noticing? It's like they're hiding out in cyberspace. And Slipknot's all upset because someone's selling merch with their name and image... but what about all the fan sites and online marketplaces where people can buy legit merchandise?

I'm also kinda disappointed that Slipknot didn't just reach out to whoever was running the site before going to court. I mean, it's not like they were gonna make a fortune off of cheap merch or anything. And now that the lawsuit is dropped, what's next? Is someone gonna start selling "official" merchandise on the side streets?

It's all good, I guess. The website's still up, and nobody's getting hurt... yet.

I don’t usually comment but I gotta say, this is kinda weird for Slipknot. I mean they're one of those bands that's all about intensity and rebellion, but it looks like they got played by some sneaky website owner. 24 years on the same domain? That's wild . And now they're backing out of their own lawsuit? Not sure what's going on there, maybe they just didn't want to deal with the drama .

And honestly, I kinda feel for the website owner – it sounds like they were just trying to make a buck off some fans who are probably just looking for cheap merch.
