The Guardian view on microplastics research: questioning results is good for science, but has political consequences | Editorial

😕 this is so frustrating 🤯 it feels like we're taking two steps forward and one step back on climate change and science 🚫🔬 i mean, we need to be careful about methodological issues but what's really going on here is a lack of funding and resources for research on plastic pollution 👀💸 scientists are already doing their best with limited budgets and expertise, can't we just support them instead of tearing each other apart? 🤝

Ugh 🤯 I'm literally so frustrated right now! Scientists have to be perfect?! Like, come on! They're human beings too, you know? And they make mistakes just like the rest of us. But no, the moment something gets out there and sparks controversy, everyone's a expert on everything! It's like, okay, I get it, microplastics are a big deal, but can't we just have some faith in the researchers for once? 🤦‍♀️ They're not trying to pull a Fast & Furious type heist here, they're just trying to figure out how to help our planet. And let's be real, climate change is like, super complicated too, and scientists are trying their best over there! So yeah, I'm all for scrutinizing research findings, but can't we just take a deep breath and try to understand where they're coming from? 🤔
