The man who froze his wife and got a new girlfriend: a stranger, sadder tale than I expected | Imogen West-Knights

I mean... can you imagine having your wife literally frozen in time? 🤯 It's like she's not really gone, but just waiting for the day when technology catches up with her? I feel bad for Gui, he's clearly still got feelings for his wife and it's hard to blame him. But at the same time, isn't Wang Chunxia kind of taking advantage of a vulnerable guy who's lost his partner in more ways than one? 🤔

And what about Zhan Wenlian's family? Did they know about Gui's plans to freeze her? It's all so complicated and sad. I think it's beautiful that Gui is trying to move on, but at the same time, isn't he just running from his grief rather than facing it head-on? 🤷‍♀️

I mean, I feel bad for Gui Junmin, you know? Freezing his wife and then moving on with someone else? It's like, he's still grieving, but also trying to move forward? 🤔 It's a tough one. On the other hand, Wang Chunxia is young and deserves someone who can give her all their love and attention... not some frozen person in cryonic storage 🚮 I'm not sure if it's fair to either woman, tbh. And what about Zhan Wenlian? Did she really want to be frozen for 30 years? 💔 This whole thing just feels so complicated... 😞

Ugh, you know what's wild? This whole thing has me feeling all the feels 🤯😔... On one hand, I get why Gui wants to keep his wife's memory alive - it's romantic in a weird way 💕👰. But on the other hand, is it really fair to Wang Chunxia that her partner is literally still frozen in time? 🤷‍♂️ It's like, she deserves better than some dude who's basically saying "hey, I'm good" to his deceased wife while moving on with his life.

And can we talk about how this whole situation raises more questions than answers? Like, what's the point of even freezing someone if you're just gonna move on and find love again? 🤔 It's like, is it really possible to truly love someone when they're no longer alive? 💔 I don't know, man... this whole thing has me all conflicted. Can't we just let people grieve in peace instead of trying to preserve their loved ones for eternity? 😩👀

I'm not sure I buy this whole story 🤔. Like, if Gui is really "moving on" with his new partner Wang Chunxia, then why's he still got a frozen wife just chillin' in the freezer? Sounds like he's still trying to hold onto Zhan, you know? And what about the part where he says their relationship is only "utilitarian"? Didn't hear that one before 😒. I need some more info on this one before I can give my two cents. Sources, pls! 📚

I think its pretty messed up that gui is movin in with wang after zhan got frozen lol but at the same time i feel bad for him. he lost his wife and now hes tryna move on but how can u really move on from sumthin like that? its like, ur emotions are still tied to her even tho shes not alive anymore

i think its also kinda creepy that gui initially said his new relationship with wang wasnt romantic lol it just goes to show that he didnt wanna deal with the guilt of bein with someone new while still havin feelings for zhan

and yeah, cryogenics is like this whole thing where we r tryna defy mortality but its just not that simple. death is somethin we all gotta face at some point and even if we can preserve our loved ones in some way, it doesnt necessarily mean we can move on from the pain of losin them
