I'm so confused about this whole situation... like, why did ByteDance have to sell TikTok in the first place? Was it really just because of some concerns about data security and ties to the Chinese government?
And now that Oracle has a major stake in the app, I'm worried about censorship and data misuse... but at the same time, isn't that kinda what happens with any big company change?
Like, Elon Musk's Twitter acquisition didn't seem to mess up too badly, right?
But then again, some of these new changes to TikTok's terms of service do sound a bit suspicious... collecting more precise location data and all that. I mean, I get it, AI-related activities are important for the app's growth and stuff, but what if it's not being used in our best interests?
Can we trust that these new owners have our backs when it comes to our personal info?
Or is this just another case of a big corporation trying to make a buck off us users?
. It's a classic case of 'buyer beware'... if you can even trust the new owners to act with integrity 
. The question is, what are we willing to sacrifice in the name of progress and convenience? Is it really worth losing control over our online experiences? 
The lesson here is that just because something looks shiny on the surface doesn't mean it's good for us
