‘The Studio’ Withdraws Apple TV Press Day Panel After Catherine O’Hara’s Death

Catherine O'Hara's Death Forces The Studio to Cancellation at Apple TV Press Day

Tragedy struck the entertainment industry on Friday, as beloved actress Catherine O'Hara passed away. The sudden loss has left fans and colleagues alike in a state of shock, with one project, The Studio, being forced to cancel its panel at Apple TV's upcoming press day.

Scheduled to appear alongside co-stars Seth Rogen, Ike Barinholtz, Kathryn Hahn, and Chase Sui Wonders, O'Hara's absence was already felt by the production team. However, it was not until her death that the cancellation was officially announced.

In a joint statement, Apple and Lionsgate expressed their deep condolences to O'Hara's family, hailing her as an "undeniable legend" who elevated every project she touched. They noted her singular genius on The Studio, as well as her transcendent performances in films like Beetlejuice and Schitt's Creek.

O'Hara's career was a testament to her boundless comedic talent, which began with her early days on Second City Television. Her legacy will be deeply felt by the Hollywood community, with many taking to social media to share their tributes and condolences.

For Seth Rogen, who co-created and starred alongside O'Hara in The Studio, the news is particularly devastating. "I told O'Hara when I first met her I thought she was the funniest person I'd ever had the pleasure of watching on screen," he wrote on Instagram. "Getting to work with her was a true honour... This is just devastating."

As fans continue to mourn the loss of this comedic icon, it's clear that Catherine O'Hara will be deeply missed by those who knew and worked with her. Her artistic accomplishments will forever bring humor, light, and love to generations to come.

🤕 Oh man, I just heard about Catherine O'Hara's passing and I'm still trying to process it 😔. I mean, she was an absolute legend in the comedy world, always pushing the boundaries with her characters and making us laugh 🤣. Remember that iconic scene from Beetlejuice? 🎃 She had this gift for being both quirky and charming at the same time, which is why we'll all miss her so much 💔.
