I think it's kinda sad that 8K never really took off . It was so hyped back in the day, but in reality, it's not like we need it yet . Most of us are just happy with our 4K TVs and don't feel the need to upgrade to 8K . Plus, let's be real, we're all still waiting for the next big thing in TV tech, like OLED or something . I mean, have you seen those new Micro RGB panels? That's where the future is at !
TVs gotta evolve . Truth is, who needs all that extra resolution if you cant find any good content? Its like buying a super expensive car just 'cause its flashy . People can barely tell the diff between 4K and 8K . And think about it, are we really gonna sit 2-3 meters away from our screens to appreciate 8K? That's just crazy talk . Give me OLED or HDR any day .
I think its pretty funny how everyone got hyped up about 8K like its gonna change our lives lol . Like what was wrong with 4K? It was fine for years and it still is now. And yeah, I mean, you gotta be like super close to even notice the diff between 4K & 8K. Imo, its more about the features that are actually usable in real life, like OLED or HDR, not just some fancy resolution
I'm not surprised about this . I mean, think about it... how many times have you watched a movie in 8K? Never right? It's just not worth the hype. People are actually more concerned with gaming and HDR features now - who needs 8K when you can have silky smooth motion and vibrant colors? Plus, those fancy TVs need some serious content to justify their price tag... or at least someone to brag about having a "next-gen" TV . I'm all for innovation, but sometimes it's just not practical. Maybe one day we'll get there with 8K, but for now, let's focus on the real advancements
I gotta think about this... if we're already over 8K, what does that say about our perception of progress? Like, are we just chasing after shiny new tech because it's newer, or is there something deeper going on here? I mean, we're basically saying that a higher resolution means a better viewing experience... but is it really? And if not, then what does that say about the value we place on these new technologies?
And let's be real, 8K TVs were always gonna be a niche thing. The real question is, why did we invest so much time and money into something that wasn't gonna make a difference for most people? Was it just a case of keeping up with the Joneses, or was there something more at play here?
It's like... what's the point of having a higher resolution if you're not even gonna notice the difference? Is it some kind of status symbol now?
i feel like we're stuck in a never ending cycle with tv tech . first it's 4k, then it's 8k... who knows what's next? and honestly, can anyone even tell the difference between those two resolutions when you're sitting far away from the screen? it just doesn't seem worth the hype anymore. i think the industry is just trying to push out new tech so we'll buy more expensive tvs . but at the end of the day, it's still about putting on a good show for us viewers .
