Wales rugby coach Steve Tandy has hinted that fans of both Ospreys and Cardiff will feel pain regardless of the outcome. The Swansea-based Ospreys are facing a possible merger with rivals Cardiff, after their owners Y11 Sport & Media expressed interest in purchasing the capital club.

Tandy was at pains to avoid discussing the potential deal, saying there would be anger on either side, no matter which team's fans suffered. He did not comment further on the possibility of Ospreys ceasing to exist as a separate professional team.
