omg, like i cant even believe what trump just announced ! $12 billion for american farmers is literally a lifesaver for so many people... but at the same time, im all like, how long did this take? like, didnt we hear about tariffs and farm struggles months ago?! anyway, its def a step in the right direction, maybe china really does wanna buy $40 billion in soybeans now lol
I think this $12 billion aid package is a good start, but it's still a bit too little for my taste. I mean, we're talking about people who are literally risking everything to grow food for us, and they get a measly 40 billion dollar soybean deal with China? It should be more like 50-60 billion or so... just saying. And what's up with the lack of details on how this money is being spent? Transparency would be awesome here. All I know is that farmers are still gonna struggle, but at least we're talking about it now. Let's hope this package brings some relief!
Ugh another bill to bail out big corporations Farmers r really struggling here and its not just about tariffs they need actual support for their livelihoods not just a handout from the government
Just saw that US President Donald Trump just announced a $12 billion support package for American farmers . Now I'm thinking... 40 billion dollars worth of soybeans China is committing to buy? That's a big number! Let me see if I can dig up some stats on the current soybean prices in the US... Okay, looks like the average price for soybeans has been around $9.50 per bushel this year . With $40 billion worth of beans being purchased, that's a massive injection of cash into the market! But what about the long-term effects? Does China's commitment guarantee higher prices or more stability for farmers? I've got some data on trade agreements between the US and China... did you know the 2018 trade deal saw a 18% increase in soybean exports to China? Maybe this latest agreement will have similar results?
Yaaassss Trump is finally doing something for our fams I know some of them have been stressing about those tariffs, so this $12 billion package is a big deal . I'm not sure if it's enough or whatever, but at least he's trying to help . Let's keep our fingers crossed that China actually follows through on their promise . And yay for the specialty crops funding !
