TV tonight: a hit deadpan sitcom returns – with added Bridget Christie

A hit deadpan sitcom returns with added Bridget Christie tonight in a double bill that promises to be unsettling and thought-provoking.

First up, the long-running school soap Waterloo Road tackles some tough subjects as a predatory coach continues to target vulnerable teenagers. This week's episode will focus on Portia, a footie-daft teen being coerced by her coach, while deputy head Darius takes extreme action to prevent his own embezzlement from coming to light.

Later, the ITV drama Killer in the House: The Murder of Nicholas Billingham revisits a shocking case that shocked the nation. Primary school teacher Fiona Beal was sentenced to life for murdering her partner, Nicholas Billingham, and hiding his body in their garden. This documentary programme explores the layers of this terrible crime, including Beal's attempt to go back to teaching while sending texts from Billingham's phone pretending to be him.

Other highlights include 24 Hours in Police Custody Investigates: Zombie Knives, which shows how a government decision to ban so-called zombie knives led to unforeseen consequences when companies began claiming hundreds of thousands of pounds. And Dark Winds is on U&Alibi with Leaphorn and Chee investigating vital clues that may connect two murders.

On Channel 4, The Secret of Me follows Jim Ambrose as he tells his story in a compelling documentary about growing up as Kristi Ambrose, born with atypical genitals. The programme also explores other cases and intersex research, and follows Jim as he plans to meet the surgeon who operated on him as a baby.

Finally, sports fans can tune into Champions League Football: Bodø/Glimt v Man City at 5pm, followed by Inter v Arsenal and Tottenham v Borussia Dortmund later in the evening.

So I'm watching this double bill tonight and I gotta say, it's gonna be a wild ride 🤯 Waterloo Road is tackling some tough stuff with that predatory coach and it's so not okay 😡. And then there's Dark Winds on U&Alibi, I love a good mystery! But what really caught my eye was The Secret of Me doco about growing up as an intersex person - it's crazy how much they had to hide their truth 🤔. Anyway, I'm just excited for some good TV tonight and maybe even catch the Champions League matches later 👍

OMG, I'm so excited for this double bill tonight 🤩! Waterloo Road always tackles those tough school issues and it's so relevant to today's teens 🤕. But what really caught my eye is The Secret of Me on Channel 4 - I've been meaning to watch that documentary for ages, and now with Jim Ambrose sharing his story about growing up intersex, it's like a whole new layer of understanding 🤝. It's all about acceptance and giving people the courage to be themselves 💖. Can't wait to see it tonight! 👍

I'm so down for this double bill tonight 🤩! Waterloo Road tackling some tough subjects about a predatory coach targeting teens is really unsettling, but also needed to be talked about 🙌. And on the other side of things, Killer in the House: The Murder of Nicholas Billingham sounds like a super thought-provoking documentary - it's always crazy when you see the inner workings of someone's mind that led them to commit such a heinous crime 🤯.

But what I'm really excited about is The Secret of Me on Channel 4 💖. Growing up as an intersex person is something we don't talk about enough, and this documentary series is giving voice to so many brave individuals who are sharing their stories 📚. It's a great reminder that our bodies come in all shapes and sizes, and everyone deserves respect and understanding ❤️.

And let's not forget the football matches tonight ⚽️! Champions League Football always gets me hyped, especially when Bodø/Glimt is playing 🤪.

I'm so glad they're tackling some serious issues on TV tonight 🙌. Waterloo Road has always been great at dealing with sensitive topics, and I love that they're not shying away from it this week. The more we can raise awareness about predators targeting vulnerable teens, the better 🤝.

It's also really interesting to see how that school drama ties in with some real-life issues like embezzlement and accountability. It's a great reminder that there are no heroes or villains, just complex situations that need to be navigated 💡.

I'm a bit nervous about watching that documentary on the Nicholas Billingham case, but I know it'll be eye-opening. It's always scary to learn more about crimes like this, but hopefully, we can all take away some valuable lessons from it 🙏.

And finally, sports fans are in for a treat with those Champions League matches! Can't wait to see Bodø/Glimt go up against Man City 😆.

The way these shows tackle tough subjects is really thought-provoking 🤯, isn't it? I mean, who would've thought that a documentary about intersex people and their journey to self-discovery would be on TV at all? It's like we're slowly peeling away the layers of societal norms and confronting our own biases. And with Bridget Christie joining in, it's going to be even more uncomfortable 😳, but I think that's what we need right now – some hard conversations to have. Waterloo Road's portrayal of a predatory coach is also super haunting, it makes you wonder how many more are out there 🤕. But at the same time, it's good to see these cases being brought to light and people held accountable for their actions. It's all about balance, right? Between confronting our darker selves and finding ways to heal and grow 🌱.

I don’t usually comment but... I think it's pretty weird that they're re-running all these true crime shows and documentaries, you know? Like, don't get me wrong, some of this stuff is super important to talk about, but can't we just move on from some of the older cases already? 🤯 It feels like we're stuck in this never-ending cycle of revisiting the same old crimes. And can someone please tell me what's up with all these 'zombie knives' though? I mean, I've seen them before and they seem pretty harmless... 😒

🤔 I'm telling you, this is all just a distraction from something bigger. First off, Waterloo Road is just pushing an agenda to make us feel bad about our own lives, you know? "Oh, poor teenagers being coerced by their coaches"... meanwhile, what's going on behind the scenes? 🤑

And don't even get me started on Killer in the House... that whole thing was staged for TV. I mean, who really thinks Fiona Beal just sent texts from her dead partner's phone? 📱 It's a cover-up, folks.

And have you seen The Secret of Me? That kid Jim Ambrose is just trying to expose the truth about intersex research. What if it's all part of a larger conspiracy to control our bodies and minds? 🤯

I'm onto something here... mark my words.

🤔 come on, a documentary about some chick who sent texts from her murdered partner's phone? that's just messed up 📱💀 what's next, gonna do a doco about someone who faked their own death? and btw, isn't it weird how this program is all like "oh no, she was trying to go back to teaching"? doesn't that sound like something our education system would've caught on to by now 🤷‍♂️📚

🤔 so i'm not sure why they're putting Waterloo Road on tv again... it's like they forgot how messed up that school is 😅. but anyway, i do love a good drama, especially when its all about real people and stuff... 📺 Killer in the House sounds super intense! who sends texts pretending to be someone who's dead? 🤯 that's just wild. 🚨

anyway, i'm also kinda excited for The Secret of Me doco... intersex research is so underreported and i love how it's not just about Jim Ambrose's story but also other people's experiences 💖. and can we talk about how important it is to have more accurate depictions of people with atypical genitals in media? 🤝

Channel 4 is doing some cool stuff this week... let me just doodle a quick diagram to show what i mean:
```
+-----------------------+
| Intersex Research |
| (accurate depictions) |
+-----------------------+
|
| 👍
v
+-----------------------+ +---------------+
| Media should be | | More voices |
| more inclusive | | needed here |
+-----------------------+ +---------------+
OMG, I'm so stoked to see some amazing shows back on TV 🤩! Waterloo Road is like, my fave school drama ever, and adding Bridget Christie as a guest star is gonna be SO interesting 😂. And Killer in the House: The Murder of Nicholas Billingham? Like, I've heard so much about that case... can't wait to watch it and learn more 💔.
I'm also loving the fact that The Secret of Me is out there talking about intersex stuff 🌈. It's so important we keep having these conversations, you know? And Dark Winds with Leaphorn and Chee sounds like a real-life crime drama thriller 🚨!
Sports fans, though... Champions League Football is gonna be EPIC! 💥 Who's rooting for Man City or Bodø/Glimt? 😄
omg this weekend is gonna be a wild ride 😂 wat's up with all these documentaries about dark crimes? like, can't we watch some cute animal vids for once? 🐶🐱 but seriously tho, i heard that jim ambrose's doco on channel 4 is actually kinda deep... and those sports matches are gonna be lit 🔥 esp bodø/glimt v man city, i've got a fave player from that team 💪👍
🤯 just saw that Waterloo Road is back tonight 📺 and it's tackling some super tough stuff 🤕 I'm really looking forward to it 👏 especially with Bridget Christie joining in on the double bill 😎 her humor will definitely bring a different vibe to the show 💁‍♀️ can't wait to see how they handle all those heavy topics 🤝
🤔 Just watched this documentary about Fiona Beal and it's so messed up 🚫. I mean, can you believe she tried to pretend to be her murdered partner on his phone? 📱 That's just crazy talk 😂. And on a more serious note, the fact that people still don't understand intersex research is just frustrating 🤯. Like, why can't we just learn from each other and move forward? 🌈 Anyway, back to TV - has anyone watched Waterloo Road lately? 📺 The school soap is one of my faves 😊. What's your take on the new season? 🤔
omg i'm so down for tonight's tv lineup 🤩📺 it looks like we're gonna tackle some really tough subjects on waterloo road and killer in the house that's some heavy stuff 😕 but at least we can laugh about it with some quality comedy later on 🤣 what i love most about this is how channel 4 is tackling real issues like intersex research in their documentary on the secret of me 💖👍
🤔 just watched that double bill of Waterloo Road and Killer in the House... really unsettling stuff 🙅‍♂️ didn't know about the school coach in trouble but glad they're tackling it 🏫💪 also felt bad for Fiona Beal, you can't even imagine sending texts from someone's phone pretending to be them 😱 anyways, think we need more shows like this making us think and uncomfortable 😬
I'm loving all these shows tonight 📺👍. That Waterloo Road episode about a coach preying on teens is just heartbreaking 😔. It's so important to shine a light on this kind of abuse and make sure we're protecting our young people. And can't wait to see the drama Killer in the House, it's been years since that case and I think it'll be really unsettling watching it all unfold again 🤯. Meanwhile, The Secret of Me is something my grandkids will totally relate to... intersex awareness is so important 🌈💕. Can we just say how proud we are of Jim Ambrose for speaking out? 👏
I'm so curious about this double bill of Waterloo Road with Bridget Christie... I love how Bridget's sharp wit will add a whole new level to these tough episodes 🤔. But, you know, I've always been fascinated by cases like Fiona Beal's - it's just mind-boggling how someone could hide behind a lie like that 😱. And then there's this documentary about intersex research... it makes me think about my own family and how they handled things when I was growing up (just had to do some quick thinking on that one, lol!) 🤫.
I've got to say, though, these shows always leave you feeling a bit unsettled, but in the best way possible. It's like they're making you think about stuff you might not have thought about before 💡. So yeah, I'm all set for tonight's double bill - bring on the uncomfortable truths and thought-provoking moments! 😬
