Two masked men seen on surveillance video after taco truck operator killed in north Houston

Two masked men are being hunted by authorities in north Houston after a deadly robbery at a popular taco truck left one man dead. Surveillance footage obtained by local news outlet ABC13 shows the two suspects, who wore masks to conceal their identities, attacking the victim in broad daylight.

According to eyewitnesses and the police, the taco truck's owner had closed up shop around 11:30pm on Thursday when he was ambushed by both men. The suspect who opened fire through a window continued shooting until the other suspect took out the money from the cash register.

Eyewitnesses described the victim as an "amazing person" who would go out of his way to help others, and they were shocked that such a good-hearted individual had fallen victim to such senseless violence. The police are urging anyone with information about the suspects to come forward.

The investigation is ongoing, but authorities are warning potential witnesses not to take matters into their own hands. "Just turn yourself in, it's not worth it, just confess to everything, it's not right to do that," said a police spokesperson.

Anyone with any information on this case is urged to contact the Houston Police Department at 713-308-8800 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

πŸ€” I'm telling you, something fishy went down here 🐟. Those two masked men just happen to be lurking around a taco truck at night? What's the probability of that? It seems too convenient. And the fact that they were both armed and ready to go... I don't buy it. Maybe this was no random robbery, but something more calculated. The police are urging people not to take matters into their own hands, which is code for 'we're hiding something'. And what's up with the guy who opened fire? He just happens to be the one who started shooting first? It's almost like he wanted to draw attention away from his partner... 🚨

πŸ˜‚ I mean, who doesn't love a good taco truck story? But seriously, it's crazy that these guys thought they could just rob someone and get away with it. Like, what's the plan B when you're trying to blend in with a mask? 🀣 You'd think they'd at least try to look cool or intimidating while committing the crime... just imagine one of them tripping on their own feet and face-planting into a salsa stand πŸ΄πŸ˜‚. Anyways, my condolences go out to the victim's family and friends – it's never okay to hurt someone who's just trying to make some tacos for the community πŸ‘Œ.

πŸ€• I'm so sad about what happened to that guy who owned the taco truck 🌯️. He sounds like an awesome person, always helping others and being kind to everyone he meets 😊. It's just heartbreaking to think that someone who did so much good in his community got taken away from us in such a senseless way πŸ’”.

I'm also really frustrated with those guys who thought they could just go around doing whatever they wanted without consequences πŸ™„. Wearing masks and committing crimes doesn't make you invisible, you know? The police are doing their best to catch them, but it's hard when people don't want to come forward and help out πŸ’Ό.

We've got to look out for each other in our communities, that's what this poor guy would have wanted us to do ❀️. If you've seen anything suspicious or know anyone who might be involved, please report it to the authorities πŸ“. We can make a difference if we work together πŸ‘«.

Ugh, another senseless tragedy like this and I'm just worried about the city of Houston πŸ€•. You'd think people would be more aware of their surroundings, especially in broad daylight with so many places to get food on wheels. Like what was going through those two's minds? 🀯 The taco truck owner was such a good guy too, always willing to lend a hand... it just doesn't seem right that he had to lose his life like this. πŸ’” I'm keeping my eyes peeled for any updates on the investigation, and I hope those responsible get caught soon. Fingers crossed they turn themselves in and spare us all more drama 😬

man, its crazy how senseless violence can happen in broad daylight 🀯. u know, like, i was reading an article about how taco trucks are actually a hub for community activity, and they bring people together... and then somethin like this happens. its just not right πŸ’”. but seriously, have u ever heard of the "2-minute rule" when it comes to productivity? basically, if ur task can be done in less than 2 minutes, do it ASAP πŸ•’οΈ. like, instead of sittin around thinkin bout what to do, just take action, even if its somethin small. might not solve the taco truck robbery or nothin, but its a mindset shift that can help u tackle everyday tasks with more efficiency 😊.

🚨 Just watched the surveillance footage of that horrific robbery and I'm still trying to process it 😱. Two masked men, one of them shoots a guy in broad daylight... it's just senseless 🀯. My thoughts are with the victim's family and friends - they're truly amazing people who would've helped anyone in need πŸ’•. It's crazy how something like this can happen anywhere, even in our own city πŸŒ†. Anyone with info on these guys please come forward, let's bring them to justice πŸš”. And to the police, thanks for doing your job and keeping us safe πŸ’ͺ.

Man, this whole thing is just so senseless 🀯. You got some good dude who's always willing to lend a helping hand, and then he gets taken out in cold blood πŸ’”. I mean, can you imagine if that was your neighbor or someone you knew? It's like, we gotta come together as a community and support each other during times like these.

But let's look at some stats, shall we? πŸ“Š According to the FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program, there were over 13,000 reported robberies in Texas alone last year. That's a lot of crime going down, right? πŸ€”

And have you seen the demographics of violent crimes in Houston? πŸ“ˆ It's mostly young black males who are involved in these types of incidents. Now, I'm not trying to stereotype or anything, but it's interesting to note that 72% of homicides in H-Town are committed by men under the age of 25. πŸ’₯

I just hope our community stays strong and supports each other during this tough time. And let's not forget, if you got any info on these suspects, hit up Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS πŸ“².

man... this is so sad πŸ€•, one guy dead over some money and now these two guys are running free? it's just not right. i mean, the taco truck owner was like a good person, people said he'd help you out if you needed something. and now they're trying to cover their tracks with those masks. it's like they don't care about anyone but themselves. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ anyway, hopefully the cops catch them soon and bring some justice to the family of the victim. this city is supposed to be safe, especially in broad daylight 🌞.
