I think its time Australia takes online hate speech super seriously... like really seriously . Its not just about punishing people for sending mean messages, its about creating a culture where everyone feels safe and respected online too. We need to educate our young folks about the impact of their words (or emojis) on others, and also make sure that social media platforms are doing enough to remove hate speech content ASAP . The AFP is doing its part, but we need a collective effort from all Aussies to create positive change . We can't just sit back and let online abuse become the norm – we gotta stand up for each other (and our politicians too!)
