I'm so over these pre-winter storms
... anyway, I've been preparing for this for weeks now, got all my supplies ready - canned goods, water, meds, etc... but what really got me thinking is having a backup heat source, like that portable generator or fireplace. It's not just about keeping warm, it's also about having some light during the day when it gets all dark and creepy outside
. And I'm definitely stocking up on batteries for my flashlights too, can't rely on power being on 24/7. Plus, I've got a plan in place just in case I need to evacuate, know where the nearest shelter is... safety first, right?
