US DoJ announces federal civil rights investigation into killing of Alex Pretti – video

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this one 🤯... so, basically they're looking into why 16-yr-old Alex got shot by US border agents in Arizona last year? He wasn't even armed, just a teenager wanting to climb over the fence with his friend 😕. Now, I know there's been issues with border patrol being too aggressive towards migrants, but this whole thing seems really suspicious... like did they really have no other choice but to shoot him? 🤔

The fact that their story keeps changing (he was approaching the fence, he wasn't) is pretty concerning. And now they're looking into if the agents followed proper protocols... it's just so sad for Alex' family and friends who are still trying to figure out what happened to him 🌎💔.

I don't know how many more lives have to be lost at these borders before something changes, but I hope this investigation brings some answers 😩.

omg, this is getting crazy!! 🤯 i'm low-key worried about what's gonna come outta this investigation lol. like, 16 years old? that's just not right... 🤕 how could they think he was a threat when there were witnesses saying he wasn't even touching the fence?! 🙄 and now we're talking systemic issues? sounds like some serious changes need to go down ASAP 💪 i'm all for finding out if this was an isolated incident or part of a bigger problem. can't have our teens getting gunned down by border patrol agents... that's just not acceptable 😡👎

man, this is a whole thing 🤯... can't believe some cops just shootin' kids like that without even askin' if they're tryna cross or not 🚫... it's all about followin' protocol, but what if there's more to it than that? 💡 like, Prendas was just a teenager tryin' to find his way over the fence, no harm done... and then BAM! 16 bullets later he's gone 💀... it's gettin' to be ridiculous at this point 🤯 how many lives gotta get lost before someone starts questionin' the system? 🤔

🤕 This is so sad 😔. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it - a 16-year-old kid, unarmed and just wanting to climb over the fence 🚧... It's not right that he had to die like this 💀. And now there's all these questions about whether the border agents followed protocol 🤷‍♂️. I mean, shouldn't they have tried to communicate with him first? 🗣️ Instead of just shooting 🔫. This whole thing is just so frustrating 😩.
