Worker, 71, dies in Cape cranberry bog accident

💔😢 It's like he said "The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." We gotta rise above this tragedy & make sure such incidents don't happen again 🚧💪

🤔 so 71 is old to be working on a cranberry bog? how many years can you expect from that kind of job before it's like, physically impossible? I'd think some safety protocol would've kicked in by now... like, maybe regular inspections or something? 🚨 also, what was the investigation process for this accident gonna look like? are we gonna see any changes to workplace safety regulations around here? 🤷‍♂️

OMG 71?! That's so young 🤯😱! Cranberry bog work can be super rough, I mean, those machines are heavy and unforgiving... 🚧💥 It's a shame he won't get to enjoy his retirement now 😔. The community is really lucky to have Rep Xiarhos speaking up about the risks farmers take every day 💪🌾. We should all be supporting these workers more, not just with our sympathies but also with better safety measures and regulations 🤝. RIP to the poor guy 💕

Man, this accident just hit me hard 🤕. It's like, we always think about our own lives, and how we're going to get through each day without anything bad happening... but then something like this happens, and it just puts things into perspective, you know? I mean, a 71-year-old man, still working at his age, just trying to provide for himself and those he loves. It's a reminder that life is precious, and we should never take it for granted.

And yeah, workplace safety is everything 🙏. We need to make sure that everyone who goes out to work every day has the support they need to stay safe. I mean, cranberry bogs are no joke, but there are people out there who risk their lives just to bring us fresh fruit and berries in the winter.

It's a tough time for the community right now, but I hope it also brings some changes to how we approach work safety in general 💡. We need to keep pushing forward, making sure that everyone has access to the resources they need to stay safe on the job. It's not just about the victim and his family... it's about all of us who want to make sure no one else has to go through what he went through 🙏
